Project Summary

The Michelson is a nineteen (19) story, commercial office building totaling 567,448 gross square feet and was constructed in 2007. The building boasts an open-aired rooftop area ideal for networking events with its view of the city and mountain range. Emmes Realty Services sold the building to John Hancock Real Estate in the fall of 2012.

Healthy Buildings’ Role

In addition to providing LEED EB:O+M project management services, Healthy Buildings was contracted to provide the following engineering and technical services: ventilation assessment to earn Indoor Environmental Quality Prerequisite 1 (IEQp1),an ASHRAE Level II energy audit per the requirements of Energy & Atmosphere credit 2.1 (EAc2.1), a proactive Indoor Air Quality Program meeting the requirements of IEQc1.1, IAQ Management Program, and the ENERGY STAR Label to meet EAp2.

Project Highlights

  •  The building maintains a high level of efficiency as evident by the ENERGY STAR rating of 83.
  • Building management has implemented green cleaning and recycling programs.
  • The building utilizes reclaimed water for use in the restrooms, landscaping, and cooling tower.
