Healthy Buildings is proud to have Genko Ganev as an energy and resources group manager and also as a wonderful example of what it means to be a public servant. Genko has been a supporter of The Children’s Heritage Foundation for years and recently donated his time and efforts to their most recent project, “Lights for Orphan Children” based in Croix des Bouquets, Haiti. Genko said he was able to contribute by “pouring concrete, plastering walls and teaching locals how to do underground plumbing, in addition to the electrical wiring of the first two PV lighting fixtures for the orphanage.”
His work has inspired donations by other Healthy Buildings employees and even spurred an update to the Healthy Buildings 2014 Philanthropic Matching Plan which enables our organization to match employee contributions to this terrific cause. More information about the “Lights for Orphan Children” project and The Children’s Heritage Foundation can be found here.
